A.I.S.E., together with 13 industry associations, is urging the European Commission for a transition period on the implementation of Article 24 of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Product Regulation (ESPR). This regulation requires large and medium companies to disclose information on the discarding on unsold consumer goods.
Our call to action:
- Enable flexibility in reporting format and disclosure obligations to help companies adapt.
- Address critical issues with the current timeline to avoid involuntary non-compliance.
- Provide flexibility in the first year following the adoption of the implementing act.
While A.I.S.E. and its members are committed to respect reporting obligations set in the ESPR provision, we call on the Commission to ensure an effective transition and compliance of the rules.
